Kukri partner Lancashire Cricket Club is delighted to announce that England wicket keeper batsman Jos Buttler has signed a new three-year contract extension, which will see him playing at Emirates Old Trafford until at least 2022.

The 28 year-old, who is regarded as one of the best one-day batsmen in the world and recently played a starring role as England won the ICC Cricket World Cup last week at Lord’s, joined Lancashire in 2013 from his home county Somerset and has played in 142 ODIs, 66 IT20s and 31 Test matches for England.

Buttler holds the record of scoring the two fastest ODI centuries by an England player, the quickest of which came in a 46-ball onslaught against Pakistan in Dubai in 2015.

The England wicket keeper batsman will be at Emirates Old Trafford next month for Lancashire Lightning’s Vitality Blast fixture against Roses rivals Yorkshire Vikings where he will parade the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy. This year’s Roses game is expected to exceed the crowd for last year’s fixture at Emirates Old Trafford, a game which Buttler played in, which saw a crowd of 22,515 watch a thriller as Lancashire beat Yorkshire by one run off the final ball.
