Kukri Sports’ new Netball Dress as worn by Severn Stars

A newly developed netball dress design has been developed in conjunction with elite professional players, who compete in the Vitality Netball Superleague. The aim was to create a new modern dress, that fits well, is fit for purpose and comfortable to wear.

Sarah Clark, Senior Product Developer at Kukri explains:

“The cut of the dress has shaped panel seams to create a flattering contour fit, and seam positions have been considered to enhance comfort when worn.

We have used a superior, quick drying 100% poly knitted fabric for the main dress, slightly heavier in weight than our previous dress fabrics, which improves the opacity, particularly required or lighter coloured dresses.

We have added shaped side panels into the design in a secondary polyester elastane fabric, containing stretch property to allow extra movement for players on the court.

The feedback we have received so far is really positive and we look forward to seeing players on the court showcasing our fresh designs.”

The new dress design is being worn by Severn Stars, in this season’s Vitality Netball Superleague and Team England at this summer’s Commonwealth Games (Kukri Sports are the official kit supplier for Team England).
