Meet The Team Behind Your Team – Nick Brown

In his role as Commercial Manager at Kukri Sports Nick runs the commercial evaluations of business opportunities, sponsorship contracts and business tender proposals.

What is your background?

“Whilst at school I studied economics, which I really enjoyed, and this took me into the banking industry. I soon decided that I was interested in working in a different industry and moved into energy, where I worked for the next 10 years. I joined Kukri in 2015 and have loved every minute since.”

What do you enjoy about working at Kukri?

“I enjoy the fact that the business is continuously evolving, I have worked and continue to work on some fantastic projects and play my part in the future of the company.

The future of the business is very exciting, 2022 will be a fantastic year for us to showcase the brand and our values.”

What do you enjoy away from work?

“Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I don’t play anymore, I’ve always been made of glass and have endured a catalogue of injuries as I’ve got older but I’m still very much involved in my local cricket club as Treasurer and spend a lot of time there during the summer helping out in any way I can. In winter I can be found watching Wharfedale RUFC and being from Yorkshire I’m very lucky to never be too far away from a walk-in glorious surroundings”.

Interesting fact about you?

“I’m not a collector but own 21 pairs of trainers!”
