Sport is so much more than physical exercise. At Kukri we believe that sport is about connection, a connection to a community, a connection to a team, to a moment in time or to a sporting legacy.

In these troubling times sport and exercise is more important than ever for our physical and mental wellbeing. Whilst we may miss the physical connection of playing with our teammates, we still share that mental connection: put on your kit, check in with your teammates and continue training – same attitude, different location.

At Kukri Sports we have been producing bespoke teamwear since 1999 and are proud of the connections we have with our partners at both a Grassroots and Elite level.

For Kukri, a partnership is about engagement and supporting each individual through their sporting journey. Through encouraging lifelong participation across multiple sports, Kukri promotes the values of inclusivity, ambition and passion and we use our many years of experience to support physical activity at all levels regardless of ability, age or gender.

During these uncertain times Kukri wants to remain engaged with our partners and customers in as many ways as possible. We are already been sharing the ways our partners are encouraging people to stay home, stay active and stay connected. The many National Governing Bodies that we partner with have devised some fantastic initiatives to help with physical and mental wellbeing during this challenging time. Team England having been sharing weekly challenges with medal winning athlete Jenny Meadows as part of their Athletics & Running for Everyone @Home resources and England Squash have some fantastic activities in their Junior 101 at Home initiative. We are proud to partner with sports bodies that demonstrate such community spirit in such challenging times.

Every athlete still has the chance to create their own sporting legacy and the hard work must continue. In these uncertain times we want to share the sporting legacies and success stories created by our partners as an inspiration to every athlete at every level.

We want to remember the joy and emotion, the reward for dedication and hard work and remind ourselves of the power of sport both physically and mentally.

We want to highlight some of the most memorable, inspirational moments in the sporting history of our clubs, teams and athletes so we are sharing some of these memories under the inspirational banner of “Powered by Kukri” across our social media channels, shining a spotlight on success and celebrating our achievements together.

For those looking forward and planning for the time that the pitches reopen, and the competitions begin, its business as usual. Our highly experienced, creative design and product department are placing the finishing touches to the kit designs that are set to inspire the next generation of athletes and our Account Managers across the country have stayed connected with our partners through recent times . We take pride in being able to continue our work with existing and potential customers, maintaining a high-quality service in the most challenging of circumstance.
